Mail_IMAP - Roadmap

  • imap_sort()
  • imap_search()
  • Conversations driver.
  • Filter driver
  • Export utility for various mail apps. -- Obviously, already have it in the form of getRawMessage(), any proprietary formats to consider?
  • imap_* functions restricted to admin user via another class extension.

Ok, having only recently revived development of Mail_IMAP after an eight year hiatus, I'd like to hear from you about what you think it needs. Send thoughts or suggestions to: mailimap@deadmarshes.com. Or post in the comment section on this page. You are also welcomed to forward messages Mail_IMAP has trouble parsing to the same email address, include "[Mail_IMAP] Test Message" or something to that effect in the subject line.

    Having spent the last week studying every PHP IMAP class on the interweb, I've concluded that they all SUCK. I strongly encourage you to advance Mail_IMAP's development, and to add a variety of examples/tutorials (which the majority of users would benefit from). I think Mail_IMAP could take the world by storm (or at very least fill your inbox with support requests).
