Certain of the Uncertain

It is not a certain distance
Nor is it a certain far off peak
But my mind is leaking out before me
Seeking to correct
Some malformed vision of the me that came before me
I rebuke it
Yet it gazes through my eyes
And I can't sort through it
And it entangles me with its lies
And I fall first to laughter
Then to shame
The adversary standing right before my eyes
That appears in my mirror
That answers to my name
I can't decide
And the certain uncertain
Flickers and dies
No there is not one certain answer
There is not one certain life
But to go back and forth forever...
