My Heart, My Soul

The heart remembers what the mind cannot
And seeks out blindly
Without knowledge of time, or space
It knows only of its very own strength without flesh nor face or fear
It bursting only from within;
It knows of the righteous times
Of dignity known no race, known no gender,
No one soul different from any other;
All of cosmic images; unconditional
In dimensions left to be learned and discovered

Fatefully it takes hold of a spirit's shaken mind
Once left bruised and shackled
Helping it to gallop forward unto its threshold;
No longer a prisoner from peace of mind,
Unto its parlor no longer cursed or forsaken
Or stretched beyond the hallows of material wealth gladly taken

And the peace of all that has gone or is ever come
Makes its path bright with happiness
Knowing undoubtedly that this trust; this wisdom;
This herald of friendship and awakening
Shall forever once and for all be one, be yours and be mine
Without pity or reckoning or disillusioned speculation
Lasting the breath of time
Forever granted asylum from evil
